The first screen is the bottleneck.
Not the offer, not the panel — the half-hour phone screen that has to happen a thousand times before anyone is shortlisted.
That is arithmetic on your own numbers, not a claim about ours. The point is what the sum forces: screens get cut short, or most applicants never get one. The AI Interview removes the trade-off — every applicant gets the full interview, and your recruiters meet the shortlist instead of building it.
Four things that break at volume.
A polished CV and a rehearsed answer tell you nothing about what someone can actually do.
What we doThe interview adapts as they answer, so the follow-up is one nobody can prepare for.
Two candidates, two interviewers, two different standards — and no fair way to compare them.
What we doEvery candidate gets the same interview, scored the same way, and checked for bias.
Good people drop out while they wait for an interview slot.
What we doThey interview when it suits them — text, audio or video — so nobody waits on a calendar.
When a candidate asks why they were rejected, nobody can point to anything.
What we doEvery score links to what the candidate actually said, so there is always an answer.
The interview is the instrument.
The Interview Agent runs the conversation like your best interviewer — following the evidence, asking the sharper follow-up, and scoring in real time against the skill graph. Every candidate gets the same deep, fair evaluation, and you get a transcript where every score points to what was actually said.
Calibrate
Builds a personal interview plan from the role, JD and level.
Converse & adapt
Warm-up, core and stretch — questions adapt live to every answer.
Score in-flight
Each answer is scored with evidence while IRT tracks true level.
Evaluate
An evaluator panel produces a defensible, rubric-based recommendation.
Same rigour, whichever way they sit it.
Live
Text, audio or video, in the moment. The follow-up nobody can rehearse for.
Recorded
One-way, sat whenever the candidate is ready. Same questions, same scoring.
Async
Across a window rather than a slot — no calendar tetris, no lost candidates.
Panel
A human panel, with the same rubric and the same evidence trail underneath.
What makes the score mean something.
Adaptive questioning (CAT)
Each next question is picked by skill-graph coverage and information gain — no fixed script, no wasted minutes.
IRT ability estimation
A 2-parameter psychometric model pinpoints true skill level and knows when confidence is high enough to stop.
Evidence-anchored scoring
Every answer is scored in-flight, each score linked to the exact excerpt that earned it — with full provenance.
Live, recorded, async & panel
Text, audio or video live; one-way recorded; or a human panel — same rigor in every format.
Communication track (LSRW)
Listening, reading and speaking assessment built in, for language and communication roles.
Guarded by TrustOS
Face, gaze and liveness monitoring run alongside, so remote interviews stay defensible.
Measurement, not vibes.
Every interview is scored with psychometric rigor and full provenance — so a hiring decision made on it holds up in front of a candidate, a board or a regulator.
Adaptive selection (CAT) and IRT estimation mean fewer questions to a confident, defensible read — and an evaluator panel gives the final rubric-based recommendation.
- IRT-calibrated ability estimate with confidence bound
- Evidence-anchored, provenance-tracked scores
- Integrity-monitored by TrustOS
- Bias-checked and standards-aligned
It does not end when the offer is signed.
Most interview tools produce a hiring decision and then throw the measurement away. This one leaves a record behind.
A level, not a gut feel
Each skill lands at L1–L5 with the confidence behind it stated.
Evidence you can open
Every score links to the exact answer that earned it.
A record that outlives the hire
The interview becomes the skill proof you manage them with — mobility, succession, development.
The same measurement then feeds the rest of the loop — mobility, succession and development.
What hiring teams ask first.
What is an AI interview, and how does it actually work?
It is a real interview, run by an agent rather than a person. It builds a plan from the role, the job description and the level, then asks, listens and follows up — choosing each next question from what the candidate just said and where the evidence is still thin. Answers are scored as they happen, against the skill the question was asked to test.
Does this replace our interviewers?
No. It replaces the first screen — the repetitive half-hour that gets skipped or rushed at volume. Your interviewers still make the call, but they meet a shortlist built on evidence rather than on who happened to get a slot.
How does it work alongside our recruiting team?
Recruiters set the role and the bar; the agent does the volume; the transcript and scores come back for review. Nobody is asked to trust a number they cannot open — every score links to the answer that produced it, so a recruiter can disagree with it in seconds rather than re-running the interview.
How does it handle thousands of applicants at once?
Every applicant is interviewed, because there is no calendar to fill. Volume changes nothing about the depth each candidate gets — the same plan, the same scoring, the same evidence trail, whether it is 20 people or 2,000.
Can candidates just use AI to pass an AI interview?
The interview adapts to every answer, so there is no fixed script to prepare against, and the follow-up is generated from what was just said. TrustOS runs face, gaze and liveness monitoring alongside. Rehearsed answers tend to show up as depth that collapses on the second probe.
How do you handle identity and fraud?
Identity verification and integrity monitoring run through TrustOS — face matching, liveness and gaze checks during the session, flagged on the report rather than silently failing a candidate. A flag is evidence for a human to review, not an automatic rejection.
What does the candidate experience feel like?
Closer to a conversation than a form. They sit it when it suits them, in text, audio or video, and the questions respond to what they actually said rather than marching through a list. They get a full interview instead of being filtered out by a keyword before anyone spoke to them.
Which roles does it work for?
Any role where the skills can be named. The question plan is built from the role's skill profile, so engineering, sales, operations, finance and support all work the same way. There is a dedicated communication track (listening, reading, speaking and writing) for language-heavy roles.
How is this different from other AI interview tools?
Most score the interview and stop. Ours is a measurement instrument: the result is a banded level per skill with a confidence bound and the evidence attached, and it becomes a lasting skill record rather than a one-off hiring artefact. The same measurement is then used for mobility, succession and development.
How do we defend a decision made this way?
Every score is anchored to the excerpt that earned it, with provenance, and the ability estimate is IRT-calibrated with a confidence bound. When a candidate asks why, the answer is a transcript rather than a recollection.
What about bias and fairness?
Every candidate gets the same calibrated interview and the same rubric, which removes the panel-to-panel variation that drives much of the inconsistency in hiring. Scoring is checked for bias and mapped to standards. If you need a formal independent bias audit for a specific jurisdiction, talk to us about it directly rather than assuming it is in place.
How does it fit with our ATS and HR systems?
Through a unified connector for the major HRIS and ATS platforms, natively with Zoho Recruit, and over LTI 1.3 for learning systems. Anything else runs on a REST API and signed webhooks — start a session, get the result back.
What happens to interview recordings and candidate data?
Recordings, transcripts and integrity checks are covered by our privacy policy, which sets out what is captured, why, the legal basis, who it is shared with and the candidate's choices. On data residency we are led by you: the platform runs in AWS Mumbai by default, and where your rules require the data to stay in a particular region, we deploy there. Residency, retention and the controller relationship are all agreed as part of onboarding.
How long does it take to get running?
The work is defining the role and the bar, not the setup — once the skill profile for a role is agreed, that role can be interviewed against. We would rather scope a pilot on one live role with you than quote a timeline that ignores your approval process.
What results should we expect?
We will not quote you a number we have not measured in your organisation. What we will do is run the arithmetic on your own volumes and screening time, agree what success looks like before the pilot, and measure against it. Anything else is a brochure claim.
What happens to the interview after the hire?
It becomes a dated skill proof on the person's record. The same measurement is then used for internal mobility, succession and development, rather than being thrown away once the offer is signed.
Every CV looks good. Find out who can do the job.
Bring us one open role. We will interview for it, show you the evidence behind every score, and you decide what to do with the shortlist.
